Daily jury pay
$15/day for the first 3 days for jurors not paid by their employer; $30/day for the fourth day and after, for all jurors (Fla. Stat. § 40.24)
Transportation & parking
No — jurors are not entitled to separate travel reimbursement from the clerk (Fla. Stat. § 40.24).
Overnight / special circumstances
No — set per diem. Sequestered jurors are accommodated at court expense.
Employer requirements
Employer required to pay
No — employers are not required to pay wages; the state's $15/day for the first 3 days goes only to jurors not receiving their regular wages
Job protection law
Yes — Fla. Stat. § 40.271 bars discharging, threatening, intimidating, or coercing an employee for jury service, with damages and attorney fees
Exemptions
Excusals for expectant mothers and parents of children under 6 not in school; people 70 or older may be excused on request; sole caregivers; certain law-enforcement personnel
