Daily jury pay
$15/day during selection until the jury is impaneled, then $40/day until discharged (IC 33-37-10-1); counties may add a supplemental fee
Transportation & parking
Yes — mileage at the state officer and employee rate (around 49¢/mile), not the IRS rate; a county may instead pay parking fees.
Overnight / special circumstances
No — set per diem. Overnight or sequestered jurors are accommodated at court discretion.
Employer requirements
Employer required to pay
No — the employer is not required to pay wages, but may not require the use of vacation, sick, or personal leave for jury service (IC 33-28-5-24.3)
Job protection law
Yes — IC 33-28-5-24.3 bars adverse employment action for jury service (with a scheduling exception for employers of 10 or fewer); criminal backup at IC 35-44.1-2-11
Exemptions
No — automatic occupational exemptions; excusal or deferral for undue hardship, plus the small-employer concurrent-service provision
