Daily jury pay
$12 the first day, $20/day after, and $40/day for each day served beyond 5 days in any 24-month period; grand jurors $20/day (NCGS § 7A-312)
Transportation & parking
No — statewide per-mile reimbursement; transportation may be furnished in some courts, but mileage is not a statewide juror benefit.
Overnight / special circumstances
Yes — jurors required to remain overnight are furnished accommodations and subsistence; sequestered jurors' meals and lodging are furnished (NCGS § 9-17).

No — North Carolina does not require employers to pay wages during jury service
Job protection law
Yes — NCGS § 9-32 bars discharging or demoting an employee for jury service, with civil liability and reinstatement
Exemptions
Discretionary excusal or deferral for hardship or public-interest reasons; people 72 or older may be excused on request; standard disqualifications under NCGS § 9-3
